I am grateful to share something I’ve been longing to offer: the When It’s Trauma podcast.

This podcast was created for people who are hurting—and for those who want to help but aren’t sure how. Trauma has a way of leaving us confused, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to trust—our bodies, our reactions, even our faith. Many helpers want to respond with care, but fear saying the wrong thing or making things worse. When It’s Trauma exists for that space.

Each episode offers a short, Scripture-anchored reflection shaped by years of counseling experience. Rather than rushing toward answers, the podcast slows things down. It makes room for lament, for honest questions, and for the kind of hope that grows quietly in the presence of Christ. This is not a space for quick fixes or spiritual clichés. Healing is rarely fast or tidy. And Scripture doesn’t pretend that it is.

Episodes will speak directly to those who have been wounded, naming experiences that are often minimized or misunderstood. But helpers, pastors, counselors, ministry leaders, friends, who want to walk alongside sufferers with wisdom, patience, and humility can listen in.

At the heart of this podcast is a simple conviction: God meets people in their suffering. He does not demand polished faith or speedy recovery. He draws near to the brokenhearted, carries what is too heavy for us, and walks with us toward restoration at a faithful pace.

Whether you listen as someone carrying deep wounds, or as someone learning how to care well for others, my prayer is that these episodes give you space to breathe, to grieve, and to remember that you are not alone.
